Google Docs

A very useful tool, especially for staff sharing across branches. Handy at home also.

You Tube etc

So many to choose from-some especially good ones from Egypt-not yet up to embedding though.
I can see the huge potential for libraries to engage with customers, staff and other libraries throughout the world via this medium.

Online applications

The docs tool would be useful and could cull lots of meetings :-) Great for storytelling groups I would think -promotional stuff also.

http://delicious.com/network/chele012 I can see loads of potential for this tool. It certainly is much more manageable than our old favourites list. Travel sites about Egypt perhaps?

RSS Feeds I used the Powerhouse pic of the Day , the Brisbane ABC site and the world ABC site and some travel ones. I don't yet see how I can use the RSS feeds in my work other than accessing what others have written or showing customers possibilities.
Wiki time -I think bookgroups, students and particularly housebound patrons could utilise library wikis to great advantage.

Egyptian Odyssey

I'm off to Egypt next year with a friend so the only wandering I've done so far is down to the local travel agent to book the travel and tour. We're going in March before it gets too unbearably hot. Hopefully, I'll have some great pictures to add to the blog down the track. Found it easy to set up blog but didn't remember password so had to create a new one.Dur!
